Real Oviedo midfielder Javi Muñoz made an appearance in the press room at El Requexón.

After a few weeks of working under the direction of Juan Antonio Anquela, the Madrid native stated that, “I’m doing really well, I’m content. I’ve adapted quickly, everyone has been very welcoming.” In addition, referring to the work habits of the Jaén native coach, the Carbayón player highlighted that, “We’re trying to do everything the gaffer asks of us, which is to be organized and dominate the game with the ball. We have to understand each other and do things right.”

On his acclimation to the club and the city, the Madrid native affirmed that, “It’s been great. The facilities, the weather, everything is perfect for playing football.”

When asked about how demanding the weeks of preseason training have been, Javi Muñoz stated that, “This has been a preseason with a heavy load. Today we’ll measure ourselves up against a worthy opponent, it’s another little step. We have to work hard and prepare for what’s coming.”

Speaking about the version of Real Oviedo that he expects in LaLiga, the midfielder said, “It’s too soon to tell. We’re going to prepare ourselves the best we can. We have to compete to the max in order to get the three
points. It’s about competing and being hungry to win.”

Finally, about his debut at Carlos Tartiere, Javi Muñoz highlighted that, “I’m really excited to play here, at Carlos Tartiere with our fans. I’m eagerly awaiting that day,” the Madrid native concluded.
