Real Oviedo has welcomed 2020 with a very special video. Pantone, the international company charged with choosing the Colour of the Year to set trends in industry, fashion and new technology, has selected 'Classic Blue' as the Colour of 2020. More than 40 experts from around the world work each year in a detailed and careful fashion to decide which will be the new Colour of the Year...but, just this once, we have something to say to them.
These are the 8 reasons which mean we can tell you that the blue of 2020 is ours:
- We have worn every shade of it during nearly one hundred years of history.
- We are the capital of a region which specialises in every shade of blue: the blue of the sea, the blue of our sky, the blue of our flag…
- And because, although sometimes it doesn’t seem that way, we can tell you that there is a lot more blue in the sky than there are black clouds.
- Because we have tested colours tirelessly, until we found the PERFECT BLUE.
- Several clubs which participate in European competitions agreed with us. But Pantone Blue 286 was already ours.
- Because it’s not a colour. It’s the pride of being.
- Because it is the colour of our lives.
- Because it is the colour that we have grown up with.
So this is our proposal for the REAL colour of the year as we head into a new decade.
