Real Oviedo left back Mossa appeared before the Press this afternoon, ahead of the team's training session at El Requexón. "We have been building up our workload in these three sessions since the week's break, and now we are focused on Sunday's match, which is the most important thing. We are focused on the hard work which will let us compete at the highest level possible. We have a lot at stake, given that it's the next match, against a team in a similar situation and position to our own, and also due to the fact we are playing at the Tartiere."
Asked about his personal situation, Mossa explained that "you always want to play more, but the Coach has spoken to me several times and told me that I'm important to him and to the squad. I started eight matches when he first arrived and only dropped out through suspension, but he was very happy with my day-to-day work and training, and he's told me to be ready because my opportunity will soon arrive. I always train to my fullest. I think I could come into the team any given week, independent of the previous result. The only message I can send is on the pitch and in training each day, and that's what I do."
With respect to Málaga, who visit the Tartiere this Sunday, the defender said that "we will start to look at them from today onwards. We always look and do analysis of the opponent. We focus on ourselves, but the eleven they have is prepared to compete against anyone, just like ours is. Total respect for them." Ahead of the first home match of the year, Mossa stated that "our home record isn't good and we have to improve it. We have to prove ourselves and not let this opportunity get away from us."
The kick-off time on Sunday coincides with some of the most important Christmas celebrations in Spain, and is not ideal therefore for little ones wishing to attend the match. Regarding this, the Valencian defender commented that "we only have words of gratitude for our fans and we would like to be in a position where they could enjoy more of what they're seeing from the team. The most important thing for us is making them proud. They were spectacular in Santander the other day and didn't stop singing the whole match. We always feel their backing, wherever we go. I always say that no matter where we go, we always find Oviedistas. It's an honour to play for a team which is so passionately supported."
