Our player Carlos Hernández today saw his run in the first Trofeo Carranza eSports come to an end, as he fell to a semi final defeat against Cádiz.
Real Oviedo participated in the tournament alongside 20 other LaLiga SmartBank sides, with the aim of raising funds to help the Ministry of Health with the different initiatives planned to fight against COVID-19.
Having beaten Diego Barri (Albacete) in the preliminary round, Carlos Hernández triumphed 4-3 over Kirian (UD Las Palmas), with a goal from Rodri and a Borja Sánchez hattrick.  He then beat Sekou Gassana (Fuenlabrada). After drawing the first match, Carlos secured a 4-1 victory in the replay. Carlos fell to a 3-2 defeat against Cádiz player Fali in the semi final, despite putting in a fine performance, hitting the woodwork three times and dominating large parts of the match.
