The full Board of Directors was in attendance, together with the other members of the club's management, Cuco Ziganda, representatives of the first-team squad and Real Oviedo Vetusta, academy staff, and employees from different club departments. In summary, more than seventy club staff members yesterday took part in a video conference featuring Arturo Elías Ayub from Mexico, where he is also going through the worldwide crisis provoked by COVID-19.
The conversation was led from Oviedo by Club President Jorge Menéndez Vallina. Above all else, it saw Arturo Elías take an interest and concern himself with the wellbeing of all members of our club and their families, while sending a message of confidence and encouragement to overcome this situation. He also asked all club staff to continue carrying out their work, within the possibilities allowed by confinement.
The President, on behalf of the club, then expressed his gratitude for the affection, backing, proximity and belief transmitted by Arturo Elías, in name of Grupo Carso, to all members of the club at this difficult time.
