On Thursday 10th July Real Oviedo presented a video clip for the centenary as part of the celebrations for its 100 years of history. The video contained a song composed and performed by Melendi that pays tribute to the history, values and passion that define the club from the capital of Asturias. The video clip brings to life and narrates the century of feelings for the team.
The audiovisual piece was produced by Krea, a leading company within the music industry, in collaboration with Sony Music. Additionally, it incorporated CGI technology, integrating visual effects which enriched the script that covered the iconic moments and phases in the club's history.
The audiovisual production featured the participation of Melendi, the singer, as well as first team player Álex Cardero. Also playing significant roles were several members of the youth team.
It’s a work that would not have been possible without the invaluable help of the Banda de Gaitas Ciudad de Oviedo and Oviedo Rugby. The unwavering fans who responded to the club's call are also worthy of mention: more than 1,500 Oviedo fans wanted to be part of a video clip that will surely be engraved in golden letters in the centenary history of Real Oviedo.
