After last weekend’s match against Sevilla Atlético, the Asturian recognizes that “it was an important victory. We are doing well, working towards the important final this weekend.” Speaking of the next match at Reino de León, Diegui understands that “it is a very important encounter, the most important of the season. They need to save themselves, and I think they will be very competitive.”
Huesca will come to Tartiere on the last Matchday having already been promoted to Liga Santander. When asked about it, the blue right back believes that “all the teams compete, and Huesca will be the same. However, in the locker room, we’re not counting. The coach says that the only thing that matters is what we do in León. Huesca has good players and is a very well prepared team. I liked playing them before; they are competitive and they’ve shown that with the promotion.”
Finally, regarding the message he wants to give to the fans in regards to this weekend’s game in León, Diegui affirms that “they have to be excited. We’re going to give our all and we hope to be able to bring them a victory."
