Real Oviedo Vetusta's coach, Javi Rozada, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón prior to the return game of the Play Off to be promoted to 2ªB.

Following last weekend's match at Mutilva, the coach assesses that "we gained a result we weren't expecting, since we thought it was an evenly-matched game. We wanted to come out strong and bold, and we did. We had a good match, dealing with the situations well and we achieved a good result. 0-2 is a positive, but dangerous, result."

Regarding this weekend's match at El Requexón, the blue coach believes that "we cannot renounce our identity. We must be faithful to our philosophy going into the match. It is a 90-minute final and we are sure that we are going to achieve it."

With regard to what this promotion means for the club, Rozada comments that "the people know where we come from. Years ago, it was very difficult for the first team to move up to Segunda B. Now, with Grupo Carso, the first team is fighting to move up to Primera, and we are fighting for Segunda B. We have to look at where we've come from."

When asked about the feeling in the locker room while faced with the match against Mutilvera, the Oviedan coach affirms that "they are young people, home-grown, raised here. The guys are mature. They know what they want, and they are not casual about it. This is a very good group, and they deserve the reward of being promoted. I look at them with confidence, but they are not convinced that it is a done deal. They know that with work, they can achieve what they propose."

Finally, with respect to the importance of the El Requexón factor with the stands full and cheering on the blue team, Rozada assures that "their support and having them lift us up is important. It will be complicated. León will take people from us, but I encourage the fans to come encourage the guys. This promotion is important for the club, for the team, for everyone. This promotion can change everything. Playing against teams in Tercera is not  the same as playing professionals. That is going to help the players to grow. We are aware of our responsibility, and they need to help us win the match. The fans have to lift us up in order for us to be promoted," he concluded.
