Real Oviedo Vetusta had their latest league fixture this afternoon, with ‘Los Azules’ suffering defeat at El Malecón.
The B team travelled to Torrelavega this morning with the aim of picking up another win to build on last weekend’s victory against Tudelano. The players emerged with this mindset for what would turn out to be very much a game of two halves. Javi Rozada’s side came out strongly for the first half; very strong in defence and placed their opponent under a lot of pressure. The goal for ‘Los Azules’ came from one of their opponent’s defenders, who turned the ball into his own net. The teams went in for halftime with the score 1-0. Vetusta continued to attack and Steven immediately struck the woodwork. Following this, the hosts began to push forward and started to take control of the ball. Gimnástica turned the match on its head with a penalty and a last-minute winner.
Real Oviedo Vetusta will have another chance to get three points at 20:30 this Wednesday at the Carlos Tartiere, when ‘Los Azules’ play their rescheduled fixture against Sporting B.
