Charity Auction of the 92nd Anniversary Shirts

Real Oviedo will auction the commemorative shirts worn by the players during the warm-up before the Granada CF match on eBay

Real Oviedo yesterday played their latest fixture in Liga 1|2|3, welcoming Granada CF to the Tartiere. Not only did they manage to secure the three points and move themselves back into the playoff places, but they topped it off with the celebration of the club’s 92nd anniversary.

The acts, which began with the supporters’ clubs’ party in the car park outside the Carlos Tartiere on Sunday morning, also paid tribute to the club’s oldest season ticket holders and remembered the first 18 players to represent Real Oviedo. This final act saw the current first team players emerge for the warm-up wearing commemorative shirts, each bearing the name of one of these illustrious players.

These shirts will have a charitable end, with the club auctioning them on eBay in the coming days and the funds raised going to Asociación Galbán, which works with families of children with cancer in Asturias. The auction, which, thanks to eBay, will not charge commissions, will last one week. It will end next Monday (26th), which is the exact date of the club’s 92nd anniversary.

In addition, anybody who wishes to purchase a 92nd anniversary shirt will be able to do so in the official Real Oviedo club shops in the coming days.

The shirt is a dark blue colour, long-sleeved, and has a white band on the cuffs and white stripes on the shoulders. In addition, the Real Oviedo 92nd anniversary commemorative shirt bears a retro design of the club badge on the chest.
