Real Oviedo forward Borja Bastón appeared before the gathered media today, after starting for the first time and scoring in yesterday's victory in Huesca.
Regarding his debut, the front man explained that "getting the three points at such a difficult ground as Huesca and helping the team by getting a goal is what we all dream of. I hope we get a lot more victories and a lot more goals."
He stated that the goal gives him "confidence and hunger to score more", while being disappointed that what would have been his second goal of the game was chalked off for offside. "It was a shame, because it was a move that we'd worked on during the week. The pass was perfect, and we were unlucky that I just had a shoulder offside. It was a pity."
Bastón admitted that the team needed to win "because it was also against an opponent that is going to be difficult to take points off of. We'd planned it very well during the week, and then we proved it on the pitch."
Finally, with respect to the system used, the striker said that "I adapt perfectly to whatever the Coach asks of me." Physically, he's feeling "good, getting up to speed", while, regarding the team, he stated that "we have still a lot of room to improve, but we are still getting to know each other."
