Real Oviedo attacking-midfielder Richard Boateng made an appearance in the press room at El Requexón this morning.

After four weeks of preseason training, the Ghanaian stated that, “I have good feelings. We are working hard every day, adapting, and getting comfortable.” In addition, regarding Anquela’s work habits, Richard recognizes that, “I like Anquela’s sensations and philosophy. We are doing things right, I’m happy with what I see, although we always need to improve.”

When asked about his feelings in these first few weeks with the group, the attacking-midfielder said that, “our attack needs to improve, we’re still lacking a few things, but we’re working on that. We’re looking for a good path. We’re doing well enough on defense. We don’t concede goals and we’re stingy with the opponent. The more we have the ball, the easier it gets. If we have the ball, we’ll be closer to doing good things.” In addition, referring to what Juan Antonio Anquela asks of them for the matches, the Oviedista player pointed out that, “He wants us to be together, attack and return quickly. Our coach wants us to work hard and help the team.”

Speaking about his acclimation to Oviedo, the Ghanaian stated that, “It seems like a nice city, I’m getting used to it and I’m very happy. What I’m seeing is really good. There’s an awesome fan base here.”

Finally, when asked about the match on the first day of competition, when Richard will go up against one of his former teams, the attacking-midfielder commented that, “It’s a special match, I used to play with Extremadura. It’s cool to go up against them in this division,” the Ghanaian concluded.
