Real Oviedo Head Coach Álvaro Cervera appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón this morning ahead of the fixture against Real Zaragoza. Following four consecutive victories, the Gaffer admitted that "we are happier and calmer, although there are still four more matches that we have to play. Speaking from experience, these final matches count for a lot going into the start of the new season."

"We have achieved our target of staying up and now we have to compete in the remaining games. The Ponferradina match is a clear example in that we were 2-0 down at halftime and the fans weren't happy, and showed their displeasure. Even if you have nothing at stake in the table, you want your team to compete and win."

Ahead of Sunday's match against Real Zaragoza, Álvaro Cervera was asked about the absence of Simeone. "He's a player who has caught the eye this year. I imagine they will notice his absence due to his ambition, his spirit, and his goals. He's a very interesting player who has had a great season."

Finally, the Coach was asked about the two players who have resumed training with group; Borja Bastón and Javi Mier. "Mier is still in the recovery process and won't be back in the short/mid-term. Borja, on the other hand, will be back in the short term, but he's still not there. He is still training and if everything goes well then he will be available for the derby."
