Real Oviedo earned a point in their visit to Anoeta after drawing (3-3) against Real Sociedad in an intense, open match full of twists and turns. However, the result left a bittersweet taste for the blue expedition, as reflected by Guillermo Almada in the post-match press conference, where he highlighted the collective effort and lamented the details that prevented the victory.

The Oviedo coach began his appearance by valuing the performance of his players, emphasizing the commitment shown during much of the match.

"I am very proud of the players, they gave it their all. Also for the football they displayed for most of the match, although unfortunately, we made some defensive mistakes at an important moment in the game. Real Sociedad took advantage of it," explained the coach.

Almada acknowledged the difficulty of competing against a high-level opponent and highlighted the team's reaction after the most challenging moments of the match.

"The hierarchy of the opponents also matters. The team showed character by equalizing after the blow of their comeback. Maintaining the pace in the game is complicated," he noted, valuing the blue team's ability to recover in a demanding scenario.

Asked about Real Oviedo's chances in the fight for survival, the coach was optimistic and confident in the path the team is following.

"I still see survival as feasible, there are many games left, and by repeating performances like today's, we will be closer. There is a lot of the championship left, and it is not easy to score points at Anoeta, although we wanted to win. We had the game under control for a long time, but the opponent deserves credit," he stated.

One of the points analyzed was the origin of some conceded goals, especially in aerial plays. Almada took responsibility and recalled the team's weekly work in that area.

"These are situations we knew could happen. We work on them during the week, and it is my responsibility," he said self-critically.

The coach was also blunt in assessing the referee's performance, expressing his disagreement with several decisions during the match.

"The refereeing seemed terrible to me. I want to be honest, but all the doubtful fouls were for Real Sociedad, always for the same side. Anyone who has played football knows how much that influences. It's a situation that, unfortunately, at Oviedo, you have to get used to and live with," he stated.

Finally, Almada referred to Reina's physical condition, as he had to leave the match after experiencing discomfort.

"Reina is quite battered and was an important loss during the match. We will see the extent," concluded the coach.
