El Requexón today played host to the match between Real Oviedo Vetusta and CD Mirandés. The game ended in a 1-1 draw and the two teams sharing the spoils.

Javi Rozada made just one change to the starting eleven from last weekend in Zubieta. They emerged for the game with the clear intention of adding three points to the tally to get themselves back into the play-off places, and of overcoming a promotion rival in Mirandés. ‘Los Azules’ controlled the game increasingly as the first half went by. They managed to overcome the setback of the away side opening the scoring from a free kick. After a long ball from Borja, Rober went around to Limones to equalise. Real Oviedo Vetusta had a few more dangerous chances, but misfortune and the away keeper frustrated them. The teams went in for halftime with the score 1-1. After the break, Real Oviedo Vetusta continued to try to play passing football and to break their opponent down. Javi Rozada’s lads had several chances to break the deadlock, but they couldn’t make the most of them. The ‘Carbayón’ B team added a point to their tally as they continue to fight to stay in the upper echelons of the table. They again demonstrated, as they do week after week, that the most important thing is to compete against any opponent.

‘Los Azules’ travel to the Basque Country next week to face Arenas de Getxo.
