Real Oviedo defender David Costas appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón today ahead of the first team's return to work this Saturday.

Following the victory against Tenerife, which saw Los Azules not play at their best but still pick up three points, the centre back reasoned that "the truth is that completely the opposite happened to us in the first two matches with the Gaffer, but we kept believing. Football is about form and now it is going our way. We didn't play well, but we got the three points and we were happy. We weren't winning (before), but we continued to believe...Now we just have to keep going."

Going into Tuesday's fixture against Las Palmas, Costas believes that "it's a good match to see where we are and where we want to be. They have good players up front with a lot of goals in them. We will have to play well, but it's ninety minutes and we can win."

Finally, asked about this final part of the first half of the season, featuring three league matches and one cup game, the centre back stated that "we are very excited. They are difficult matches, but nice ones. We have to get as many points as possible in order to go into the break in the best position possible. Football is about form, and you have good and bad spells. We have changed our performances and we are happy with this last month and a half."
