Yoel Bárcenas, a new Real Oviedo player

The player from Panamá, well-known for his appearance in his national team during the World Cup, will join the club on a loan from the Mexican team Cafetaleros

Real Oviedo have come to an agreement to obtain the services of winger Édgar Joel Bárcenas, or “Bárcenas” for short. He is coming on a loan from Cafetaleros de Tijuana for the 2018/19 season.

The 24-year-old Bárcenas was born on October 23, 1993 in Colón, Panamá. He trained with Árabe Unido, where he was under the direction of ex Real Oviedo player Dely Valdés. The winger has sported the shirts of RNK Split and Cafelateros. Also, Bárcenas has an important background with the Panamanian National Team, with which he has played in a total of 32 international matches, competing this last June in the World Cup in Russia.

Bárcenas is a winger that is known for his speed, versatility at both wingsof the field, and the ability to overcome the opposing players.

The winger will be under the direction of Juan Antonio Anquela starting tomorrow, Thursday, on the condition that he pass his medical examination at Clínica Asturias.
