Real Oviedo Head Coach Luis Carrión began by expressing his "most sincere congratulations to the Under-19s for their efforts. All Oviedistas are proud of how they defended our badge. Congratulations to everyone, to Paco and his coaching staff, and to all of the youth-team structure for their work."
Now ready for the trip to the Carlos Belmonte, the Gaffer highlighted that "we now have to go there and put in a good performance. They are a good team and have done well, and we will have to give everything. We are going to give it everything there to be able to win and pick up 3 very important points."
Discussing the next opponent, Carrión analysed that "Albacete is a team that does things well. In Valladolid they played very well and deserved to win. Away at Sporting they did very well, but they went down to 10 men and things changed. They won well against Racing. We have to be at our best and more in order to get the three points. We are going there focused on that."
Asked about Masca and options up front and on the right wing, Carrión said that "he has adapted well to starting on the right, but in-game he is another striker. When Paulino plays it is different due to his characteristics, and when Viti plays it is different too, because he makes more breaks. We will weigh up what is best for us to hurt them. We are all important here and everyone is going to be important. For me there are not starters and substitutes, but rather people who are in the starting eleven and people who are coming on from the bench. The number of comebacks we have had is not a coincidence, but rather due to what everyone who comes on contributes and how lucky we are to have them."
Asked about his numbers since arriving and the fact that they would be enough to be in an automatic promotion place, Carrión explained that "what matters is what we have now. We have a chance of getting in the playoffs and fighting at the top of the table. We want more, but to do that we have to put in a good performance tomorrow. When it's finished nothing will be done still, but we could come out of it strengthened. We know it won't be easy, but we are going there with a lot of hope. Except from Valladolid there hasn't been much difference between our home and away performances. We need to take the lead, attack a bit better, not concede, and not allow ourselves to be pushed back. We have to put in a good performance and something more. That is very important for us."
