Real Oviedo Vetusta came up against Zamora CF today in their latest Grupo 1 Segunda RFEF fixture. Los Azules were back at El Requexón with the aim of picking up three points which would allow them to continue climbing the table and move out of the relegation zone. Head Coach Jaime Álvarez opted for a starting eleven made up of Marco, Omar Falah, Jaime Vázquez, Lucas Laso, Marco Esteban, Yayo, Izan, Cheli, Sesé, Miguélez and Enol for today's encounter.

As has become the norm in recent weeks, the B team started a home game looking to take the initiative and threaten, against a Zamora CF side which was looking to do damage on the counter attack. Cheli had the best chance of the opening stages, but his effort from the edge of the box grazed the post. Just when Los Carbayones were enjoying their best spell, the visitors would find the back of the net. Joel Prego fired home a fine goal from the edge of the box which left Marco helpless and gave Zamora an undeserved lead. The Asturians looked to level the scoring before half-time, but eventually the two teams would go in for the interval with the score 0-1.

Xavi Sola and Dieguito came on after the break and Vetusta improved, getting forward dangerously and creating chances. Nacho Estrada, Dario Hidalgo, and Charbel all also entered the fray in search of an equaliser, and the goal would finally arrive in the final stages. Nacho Estrada headed home from a set piece to give Real Oviedo Vetusta a deserved point against one of the strongest sides in the division.

Following two consecutive home matches, the B team will face Real Avilés at the Román Suárez Puerta next time out.
