Real Oviedo midfielder Viti today appeared in the Press Room and responded to the questions put to him by members of the media.
The Asturian winger began by analysing the good work done so far by the team. He reasoned that "we are in midtable, and we don't really know which way we are looking yet", but also stated that "we have a team that can fight for anything". As such he believes that "getting a victory on Sunday and putting some distance between ourselves and Logroñés is important."
On an individual level, Viti is focused on "fighting for a place, just as I have been since the start of the season, with Marco Sangalli and anyone else who can play there. The season has been ok. I think that I've done well when I've played, and in terms of staying free from injuries it's been my best season. That's what I most wanted; to stay fit and be able to fight for the spot." Regarding the only signing so far in this transfer window, Viti said that "it's always welcome when a player who can add something comes in. I think that in that sense Borja Valle has very different characteristics to my own. It just depends on what the Gaffer sees best,"
Finally, regarding the team's recent form, Viti argued that "we have to create a few more chances and score more goals, as well as giving less away defensively." However, he also said that in general terms the team has done "ok", reasoning that in the second half of the season "we have to try to improve and look for excellence."
