Real Oviedo winger, Viti Rozada, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón, before the team began a new week of work.
Talking at the start of this new week, Viti explained how the squad felt after the match at La Rosaleda, “I wouldn’t say we were happy. Obviously we were looking for the victory, but given the way it went it was a fair draw. If you can’t win, draw.”
With regard to the game against the Andalusian team, Viti pointed out that, “we went to a spectacular stadium. They were fully behind their team, and it was a difficult match. In the first half we were uncomfortable, we couldn’t put three consecutive passes together. In the second half we were better. We had more opportunities than they did. If we win on Monday, then this draw isn’t a bad result. The fans value us being up there. Nobody was counting on us, but we are having a great season.”
Looking ahead towards the last three matches of the regular season, the Real Oviedo winger emphasised that “we are prepared for whatever happens and in a position that many would like to be in. It's in our own hands, and we are already thinking about the match against Zaragoza, and about winning.” In addition, regarding the importance of playing two of the remaining three matches at the Carlos Tartiere, the footballer believes that “it is an advantage for us. We have played well at home; we feel comfortable with our fans there.”
When asked about the demands that they face in order to reach a playoff place, Viti acknowledged that “this year is proving one of the most difficult. Nothing will be decided until the final match of the season. We know how difficult it is to get in there, and we will be there until the end. We have to focus on ourselves. We don’t care about the other teams.”
Discussing the defensive solidity shown throughout the season, with the team having kept a large number of clean sheets, Viti reasoned that “everyone says that the whole team works very hard for each other. It is difficult to hurt us, we are all very involved in the work.”
Finally, ahead of Monday's fixture against Real Zaragoza, the Asturian stated that, “we are going to go out there motivated to achieve the victory that will allow us to remain in the playoffs until the end.”
