The Real Oviedo first-team squad has today begun training, in what is the first week without competitive fixtures since the LaLiga season got underway.
Elimination from the Copa del Rey has provided a short break from competitive action ahead of next weekend's fixture. However, Ziganda and his coaching staff are making the most of the opportunity for a series of sessions with a heavier workload, as the Gaffer had stated they were going to do a few days ago. The players will also work on technical and tactical aspects which they are not able to practise in weeks with more matches.
As such, this morning's session lasted more than ninety minutes. The first part of training saw individual physical work out on the training pitch, while the second half of the session was more focused on ball exercises.
Training will begin at 11:00 tomorrow (Wednesday) at El Requexón. It will be held at the same time every day, including on Saturday. Sunday will be used as a rest day, given that there is no fixture this weekend.
