The Press Room at El Requexón today saw Gustavo Blanco Leschuk presented with the award for December's 'Jugador Cinco Estrellas' Player of the Month. The striker is one of the main men in the Carbayón attack, contributing hard work, commitment, and fighting spirit. He has been recognised by fans of Los Azules, who had to choose between the five players nominated by the beer company on their Twitter profile @futbolmahou.
Blanco Leschuk then answered a selection of the questions put forward by supporters on social media:
How are you approaching the second half of the season with Real Oviedo?
In the best way possible. We are on the right track and we are going to fight to be up there. We have to pick up points and finish towards the top of the table.
Who do you dedicate your goals to when you score?
To my teammates; I celebrate with them. There was one that I dedicated to Maradona, but the rest are for my teammates and for our day-to-day work.
Argentinian barbecue or a nice Asturian grill?
I prefer our barbecues. I've not been to Argentina for a year and I miss it.
Do you chew gum while playing matches?
Why? I breathe better and it gets air into my lungs.
What is the reason for your 'shark' nickname?
They gave it to me in Málaga, in a pizzeria.
Would you be willing to stay here next season?
It's not up to me, there are other factors that depend on others. If there is the possibility to do so then great, I'm happy here.
