As part of its plan to expand the club's brand throughout the world through agreements with international academies and leading sports centres, Real Oviedo is this week hosting Universal Soccer Academy, who have travelled from New Jersey to get to know our club.
Around thirty teenagers, joined by their parents, are currently in Asturias. They are receiving a full experience of the club's working methodology for young players through different training sessions, as well as playing matches against teams from the club's academy and other sides in the region.
This activity forms part of Real Oviedo's agreement with Universal Soccer Academy to encourage and expand our working model throughout the different countries in which we have these types of agreements.
This week will see the members of Universal Soccer Academy visit the various different training facilities that the club has available for daily activity. They will also watch the match against CD Mirandés at the Carlos Tartiere this Saturday, having attended first-team training this morning.
Universal Soccer Academy is one of the leading academies in the USA, specialising in players' individual development. It has different training programmes for players who make an effort to compete at the highest level. Through modern training techniques and concepts, it seeks to have an effect on its players both on and off the pitch.
