12th July 2022 saw Real Oviedo begin a new chapter in its history. Following Grupo Carso's arrival a decade ago, Grupo Pachuca, led by Jesus Martinez, took the reins of Los Azules and became the majority shareholder of Los Carbayones.
Since their arrival in Asturias, the new owners have had a clear objective of transferring their working model to Real Oviedo as they have done successfully in the past with the rest of the group's teams.
Additionally, with twenty-seven years of experience in the football industry, Grupo Pachuca has been a pioneer, with their own model of comprehensive development that comprises different areas within the context of sports. This model has served them to cement themselves as one of the most specialised and advanced companies on the planet in the world of football.
The expansion of the Real Oviedo brand and the improvements of the institution in sports, social, academic, cultural, and commercial areas have been notable throughout this first season with Grupo Pachuca. This company has laid the foundations to go into the immediate future with optimism.
Furthermore, following their arrival in Oviedo, several important matters have had a significant impact here. The construction of a new sports complex was one of the main interests of Real Oviedo for many years. In March 2023 they were able to place the first stone in the construction.
Now, after more than 365 days with Real Oviedo, Grupo Pachuca looks onward with optimism and prosperity at what lies ahead so that success, at all levels, may become a lasting reality.
