After the draw between Real Oviedo and RCD Espanyol, the Oviedo attacker Thiago Fernández appeared before the media to analyze the match, reflect on his first start, and send a message of confidence ahead of the upcoming games.

The blue player acknowledged that the team is already focused on correcting mistakes and preparing for the next commitments. “We are returning to training to see what went wrong, try to improve, and earn as many points as possible,” he explained.

Regarding the development of the match, Fernández pointed out that the opponent's goal influenced the first half. “After their goal, with their strengths, they played a good first half, and we couldn't get hold of the ball. We defended well until that moment and then improved our performance in the second half,” he commented.

The midfielder also referred to his personal performance, highlighting his satisfaction with starting the game. “I felt very comfortable, I identify with the group of players, and I am very happy with my first start,” he stated.

Asked whether the team felt pressure or fear after conceding the goal, the player dismissed it. “I don't think it's fear. All teams are very good. After the goal, they took the ball from us, but playing at home, they had no other choice. We defended well in most plays,” he explained. He also highlighted the opponent's level and the need to know how to compete in difficult moments: “It's a team with a lot of hierarchy, and there are moments when we have to know how to endure.”

Fernández also emphasized the importance of achieving a victory soon. “It's always urgent to get a win, especially in our situation,” he noted.

In that vein, the midfielder focused on the next match, which he described as decisive. “It's a final for us. If we win the three points at home, this draw will look a bit better,” he assured.

Finally, the Real Oviedo player wanted to send a message of commitment and hope. “We are professionals, we have hope, and we play for it. We have to keep believing until it's impossible. We will give it our all,” he concluded.
