Real Oviedo Vetusta faced Getafe B this afternoon at El Requexón, with the match ending in a 2-1 win for the Asturians.
Emilio Cañedo's side produced a fine performance to get back to winning ways, as they played well in every area of the pitch.  Vetusta took the initiative in the first half and struck first through a Javi Mier goal. Getafe barely threatened Jaume's net, but equalised as Jorge Mier turned bthe ball into his own net.  With the score now 1-1, the Real Oviedo B team did not step trying to find a way through.  The best chances to retake the lead came from their attackers, as well as from set pieces.  Emilio Cañedo's lads took a step forward in the second half, with Viti taking centre stage.  The Asturian winger scored the second goal for Los Carbayones, following some fine individual play.  Getafe B were left shell shocked by their hosts and barely created any dangerous attacks, while Vetusta were a constant threat.  Vanderson had a double chance, before Steven had the opportunity to seal the win, but the keeper and the post prevented Real Oviedo Vetusta from clinching an even more convincing victory.
The match saw the Carbayón B team pick up their long-awaited victory going into a week with another two fixtures.  First, Wednesday will see Real Oviedo Vetusta face Atleti B, before Los Azules come up against Celta B on Sunday.
