Among many other moments and long-lasting memories, the presentation of the Real Oviedo Foundation on 8th April took us on a tour around the world at the speed of light. On this tour we got to know about some of the different international projects which Real Oviedo is carrying out around the planet.
One of these projects, in association with DFT Foundation, will be carried out in Panama. It has the objective of supporting youngsters in areas of high social risk and helping to push them towards professionalism.
Diego Fernando Toro, Head of the aforementioned foundation, stressed the importance of contributing the ability to change lives to society. This is something which Real Oviedo, through its Foundation, attempts to do on a daily basis through football and the values it represents.
DFT and the Real Oviedo Foundation will carry out tryouts in Panama, in which young footballers will take part on a daily basis and show their footballing talent. The two best talents from these tryouts will travel to Oviedo for one month, where they will train under the Real Oviedo academy methodology.
The two institutions are also working together on other projects. In recent weeks Panamanian footballer Ariel Small has been staying at FUNDOMA and taking part in one of the Real Oviedo Foundation's International Department programmes.
Dream For Tomorrow Foundation is a leading sports foundation and intermediary in the footballing development of young people, so that they can represent professional teams. Their mission is based on the development of young players, giving the most vulnerable sectors of society the opportunity to transform their lives through the positive channel of social inclusion.
