As part of its firm commitment to expanding the Real Oviedo brand, the club’s values, and the youth-team methodology, the Real Oviedo Foundation is in Venezuela for the presentation of the camps in the South American country.
Iván Palacios, a representative of the Real Oviedo Foundation, accompanied by Jaime Paz, a coach from the International Department, were tasked with travelling to the country to carry out different actions to support and promote the activity that Real Oviedo is holding for young people aged 10 and above. Two of them will be awarded a one-month stay in Oviedo to participate in our Escuela sides.
The Real Oviedo camps are taking place in two venues, Caracas and Lechería, between 2nd and 9th June. They have been very well-received in Venezuela, where the Foundation has presented the project to the main media in the country, which has in turn spread the news of Real Oviedo's arrival. At the launch, the representatives of the Real Oviedo Foundation were able to feel the warmth of the members of the Asturian Centre in Caracas, who accompanied them and expressed their satisfaction with this journey that is just beginning.
Likewise, a large number of local clubs and Venezuelan soccer leaders have shown interest in the work of Real Oviedo in its academy, as well as in the alliance that the Foundation and Global Soccer Assistance have reached to promote activity in Venezuela.
