The Real Oviedo midfielder Kwasi Sibo appeared in the press room at El Requexón after the training session scheduled for this Thursday.

After his debut with the Ghana National Team, the Oviedo midfielder acknowledges that “I had no idea they were going to call me, the only thing I could do was be prepared and ready. Everything happened quickly, thank God I went with my country and my people. I am proud and grateful to Real Oviedo for helping me.” Additionally, regarding what the call-up to the national team means, Sibo admits that “it’s my country, a dream for me to be able to play for them. When I’m on the field, I only think about giving my all, helping to win. My family is proud of me, they have helped me a lot.”

Asked about the changes his life has undergone in recent months, with his promotion and debuts in La Liga and with Ghana, the Real Oviedo player believes that “everything has depended on me. I was always calm, positive, and working for it. I have a lot of faith and waited for my moment. It’s true that my life has changed, but now it’s just about working and not lowering the level.” Furthermore, regarding his adaptation to La Liga, Sibo assures that “it’s going well, but work, training, and rest are very important. We are in the best competition in the world, and you have to take good care of yourself.”

On Paunovic’s team’s first victory in LALIGA EA Sports, the Ghanaian highlights that “I was very happy. We won three points at home, we are on the right track to compete in this league. Thanks to the fans for their support at home, they are important. This weekend there’s another tough match away, but we have a good team and are in a good dynamic to get the three points. If we stay together and with a strong mentality, we can earn points. I trust my teammates.”

Finally, when asked about being a substitute in the last match against Real Sociedad, Sibo acknowledges that “I am a guy who plays for the team, I always respect my teammates. Helping the team, no matter how many minutes I get. There are good midfielders, and that’s good for competition,” he concluded.
