Saúl Berjón: "We are focusing on winning the next three matches"

The Oviedo-born player insists on the importance of "starting with Saturday's game," aware that "the division is surprising every week"

There are no reactions yet. Be the first!

Real Oviedo's winger, Saúl Berjón, appeared in the Press Room before this afternoon's training session at El Requexón.

He acknowledged that they are "frustrated" by Saturday's defeat at El Sadar because "you put yourself ahead, you give everything you have so that it turns out well, and then your opponent has a comeback and you're defeated...The only thing to do is lift your head up and keep going. Every week, football gives us another chance. The time has come and we are focusing on winning the next three matches."

Concerning their defeat at El Sadar, Saúl indicated that "in the first half, I don't remember opportunities from Osasuna, but it is true that in the second half it was more difficult for us to keep the ball. At midfield, they were better than us. I don't think we lacked intensity or eagerness. They were better than us, and we have to recognize that."

Regarding what is left, Saúl emphasized, "The only option is to win all three to get in. All the teams are good, but yes, it's true that we're better off than others because rivals have to play each other."

Beginning with this Saturday's match against Sevilla Atlético, the winger insisted that "getting in with less than nine points seems complicated to me at this point. Of course we have a lot to do, but we also have to start with the first three."

With respect to the results from the rest of the teams, Saúl remembered that "we won against Lorca, and it seemed like it didn't matter, but they won against the team that scored three goals against us the weekend before. The division is crazy, and we have to try to take advantage of that."
