Real Oviedo's defender, Christian Fernández appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.

Despite Saturday's setback in Pamplona, the player is "optimistic" andrealizes that "although we had a lot of options at El Sadar and it didn't turn out that way, we are aware, we are optimistic, and we are going to give this last shot our all."

Regarding the points the team need to make it to the play off, the Cantabrian believes that "we can't be naïve, we need the 9 points. This division is surprising, and everything can change when you least expect it. We have to continue final to final, match to match to see the team's real options up until the final."

Speaking of their next opponent, Sevilla Atlético, the blue defender notes that "reserve teams have that formative side where they prioritize the development of their players. When you see your options disappear, you play to advance. Their circumstances make them dangerous and more difficult. Classification, as the division has already shown several times, is tricky."

Finally, he was asked about the grade he would give to the team based on the season so far, or if it depends on what will happen in the next three matches. Christian Fernández affirmed that "evaluations are done at the end. Up until now, the season has been going well, since we are in the fight for the play off. This last bit, we haven't been consistent, but that can change from week to week. We have to let everything play out and then evaluate it," the Cantabria-born player concluded.
