Real Oviedo winger Saúl Berjón appeared in the Press Room today at El Requexón.

After returning to the group and getting minutes under his belt in the last two fixtures, the Real Oviedo captain admitted that “I am feeling well, but I am lacking match fitness. I was out for three months and now I need to get back into the swing of things.” Moreover, speaking about his return to the team, which is coinciding with a good run for the team, Saúl believes that “it is easier, and gives us confidence and continuity. I have to get back into a rhythm by continuing to train and taking care of myself.”

Real Oviedo faces Albacete this weekend at the Carlos Belmonte. Regarding the next opponent, Saúl stated that “they have very good forwards who are doing well. Albacete is a hand-crafted team that shows how difficult this division really is.”

Referring to the team’s current position, sixth in the table, and the form that has been required to achieve it, the winger commented that “we wereway off it not long ago, but now we are right up there with them. We will
try to keep this run going and get the three points. We are aware that we are facing the league leaders at their ground, and that we are going for the three points.”

When asked about what changed within the squad in order to achieve such a great start to 2019, Saúl stated that “everything is the same, but now our hard work is paying off. We are working in the same way, but our chances are going in now. We have to keep this run going, keep enjoying it and keep winning three points each week.”

Finally, asked whether he would take a draw this weekend in order to have an advantage in the head-to-head record with Albacete, Saúl concluded that “I’ll take a win, to keep the run going, although it is a difficult match and a draw would be very good.”
