Real Oviedo player Santi Cazorla addressed the media on Wednesday, marking the most crucial week of the year, ahead of the highly-anticipated match against SD Eibar. "I'm certain other teams are keeping an eye on us. Real Oviedo, however, is focused on our game. Fortunately, their attention doesn't affect us. If we beat Eibar, then we don't have to think about anyone else," Cazorla stated.
"Eibar will also go for the win, even if they depend on what Leganés do. They also need to win to be third. An open game can help us hurt them," he added.
Regarding his substitution the other day against FC Andorra, the number 8 admitted that "the other day was frustrating because, in addition, I think I made a mistake. The injury happened in the first fiew minutes, and I played 30 minutes in pain and couldn't help the team. I always remember a phrase that Pellegrini told me: when you don't add, at least don't subtract. At that point, I think I subtracted more than I added, and I wouldn't say I liked it. I feel very indebted to Oviedo; that's why I feel things so much. I feel the affection and enjoy every time I play at the Tartiere; that's why you also try to continue despite the pain. The feeling of guilt I have right now is because I feel indebted to them. I want to return as soon as possible and hopefully achieve my goal."
"If there's a 1% chance of playing in the playoffs, I'll do it. Due to my age and contract, I don't care what happens with my injuries. Other players have to think more about their future, which is normal. I don't anymore; I only think about the team, the club, and helping. If I must risk an injury, I'll do it," said the Real Oviedo midfielder in a press conference that had everything and which you can see in full (in Spanish) here:
