Real Oviedo Head Coach Javi Rozada today appeared before the Press ahead of the Copa del Rey match.
Los Azules, who travel to Catalonia this afternoon to face Badalona tomorrow, are going into a "new and exciting competition.  It's important for the club because it brings prestige and income.  We are excited and hope to get through," said the Coach.
Regarding the team's preparation for the match, Javi Rozada commented that "we've only had three days, but that's part of football.  We have players back and we want to take the opportunity to give minutes to people who haven't been playing.  We will put a good team out.  I know the players well and know who I am going to pick.  They will show that they can play and that they are important.  Tomorrow is a good match to compete and give us something to think about."
In addition, the Coach declared that the team is focused on the Badalona fixture, arguing that "until the cup match is over, Santander doesn't exist.  We are going to play against a team from the Segunda B, who have won two consecutive matches, and we are focused on this match.  We will have to do a lot well in order to win."
Asked about the starting eleven he will choose at the Municipal de Badalona, the Asturian said that "there will be changes.  There are people knocking on the door to start, and this match will do them good.  In addition, tomorrow is also a reward for some of the B team players.  I see them doing well and think it's a match they can help us in.  They are excited.  We will use a mixture of first-team and B team players to make a good team."
With respect to the changed cup format, Rozada highlighted that "I like it.  There are lower league teams who are going to play against sides from the Primera, and that's a good thing.  Whenever hard-grafting people get this type of opportunity it is something positive.  It's an important match.  As a club we have to make it to the next round; we are obliged to win.  We are aware of the responsibility we have in this match, and we have to concentrate and be entirely focused on the victory."
Finally, regarding the new-generation synthetic pitch, Rozada commented that "I've told them it's a big, new-generation pitch.  There can be no excuses.  We have to to play a practical match.  You don't beat anybody on name alone.  We have complete respect for them, but we are going to go for the win.  We have the better side."
