Real Oviedo forward Rodri Ríos appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón, ahead of the training session scheduled for this Thursday.
Ahead of the start of the second half of the season for Ziganda's side, the attacker reasoned that "we are at a key point with the second half of the season beginning. We all want to look upwards, but we have to win as many matches as possible to finish as high as we can. Hard work provides the path we need to follow; everything can still work out well. The team is working and it's all about winning."
The first match of the second half of the campaign will see Real Oviedo face Logroñés. Regarding the importance of earning three points, the striker commented that "we have to be hungry for revenge. The game got away from us early on in the reverse fixture. On a personal level, I couldn't play in that first match, but I am available for the rematch."
With respect to how he is feeling going into the second half of the league season, Rodri highlighted that "I am feeling great, highly motivated and hungry. My aim is to finish as the team's topscorer. It's a difficult target, and one that I like."
Finally, asked about the possibility of extending his ties to Real Oviedo, the striker stated that "that's a contractual matter, but I hope I can stay here. It will be difficult to have my contract renewed automatically, since I would have to have played in 50% of the matches, but in my head I want to stay."
