Closer and closer to the oviedistas, and ever closer to society. Real Oviedo has been able to maintain and increase its collaboration, presence and social outreach through all kinds of contributions during the season 2016-17. With a series of initiatives that give a smile to those who need it the most, it has become the best reward and source of greatest statisfaction for the organization.

Both by opening their arms and approaching those who need it most, Real Oviedo has made this year six visits in which have participated several of the players of the first team. Jonathan Vila and Fran Varela shared a morning with the students of the Latores Special Education School; Néstor Susaeta, Toché and David Rocha, among others, gave gifts and dedicated their time to visit the small ones at the HUCA at Christmas. A visit was also made with Juan Carlos, Saúl Berjón and José Fernández to the Penitentiary Center of Asturias, where the players got to know the prisoners' daily life and even brought gifts specially made for them. During Christmas and then in February, the elders of the Residencia Ovida enjoyed the presence of the coach, Fernando Hierro, who along with the captains made a Christmas toast headed by President Jorge Menéndez Vallina. Weeks later, Lucas Torró and again Jose Fernandez shared time to talk and to show affection with the internal people in Ovida. César Martín also participated, along with Miguel Sanz, in the Ca'Beleño supportive breakfasts, where tickets were distributed to the little ones to attend a party in the Carlos Tartiere.

Throughout the season many different associations and organizations, or individuals in some occasions, visited our stadium.

During the Christmas campaign event, 998 game tickets were collected in our stores for purchases made on those dates and were donated. These collections were given to: Cáritas; Asociación para la Prevención, Reinserción y Atención a la Mujer Prostituida (APRAMP); Fundación Cauce; C.D. SAMO AFESA FEAFES; Asociación de Síndrome de Down del Principado de Asturias; Asociación Asperger Asturias; Asturias Acoge; Fundación Secretariado Gitano; Asociación Española contra el Cáncer; Fundación AVATA de Ayuda al Accidentado.

Also taking advantage of the Christmas campaign, Real Oviedo turned to its unemployed season ticketholders to reinforce the staff of our official stores.
In addition, just a few weeks ago a check was given to the Galbán Association for families of children with cancer of the Principality of Asturias. The funds were raised by the 91st anniversary jersey auction.

Another of the collaborations that gives great satisfaction is the sending of sports equipment to the most needy. Numerous children from the Philippines (through Rotaract Asturias) and the Sahara (through the Asturian Association of Friends of the Saharawi People) wear our team jerseys and their team follows Real Oviedo, even though there is a large distance between.

Among the collaborations, it is also very common to donate team shirts or club material for social contributions. Among them, we can remember:  IES La Corredoria-Asociación Asturiana contra la Fibrosis Quística; El Sueño de Aitor; Hermandad Los Estudiantes; Asociacion de Enfermos de Crohn y Colitis Ulcerosa del Principado de Asturias; Actos del Día Mundial de Osteogénesis Imperfecta; XI Jornada Solidaria Familiar llevada a cabo por la Comunidad Universitaria Ignacio de Loyola y el Colegio San Ignacio y Asociación Rettando al Síndrome de Rett.
