Real Oviedo midfielder, Ramon Folch, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón today, just before the team returned to training. The Catalan spoke about the “bad feeling” after Saturday’s game against Alcorcón, “because we deserved more than we got from the game. We had a lot of chances and conceded when we were pushing forward most in attack. It was a hard defeat.”
Asked about the chances which the team couldn’t make the most of on Saturday, Folch argued that, “it’s about form. Sometimes without doing anything in a game the ball goes in. We are creating danger now, which is the main positive. The goals are going to arrive.”
With respect to the team’s league position, the midfielder commented that, “it’s important not to look at the table now, and to only think about the game in Lugo. It’s going to be very difficult and we need to get the three points by any means necessary.”
Regarding the final stage of the season, the Catalan is convinced that, “there is a long way to go. The team has the ability and we will see where we can get to.”
Talking about this Sunday’s opponent, Folch stated that, “Lugo have had a good squad for years. They are very solid, particularly at home, and it’s difficult to beat them. We need to start to prepare for the game today in order to be able to bring the points home with us.”
Finally, regarding the fine away support which will follow Real Oviedo this Sunday, Folch declared his gratitude that, “they are pushing the team on. We are happy that they support us, and that they will be cheering us on on Sunday, because we will need them,” he concluded.
