The president of the Republican Party of New Jersey (USA), Jose Arango, accompanied by his family, toured the Carlos Tartiere Stadium with explianations given in English.
Arango, a Real Oviedo shareholder, in addition to leading the Republican Party in New Jersey, is the head of Economic Development of the City of Jersey City, Oviedo´s sister city.
Of Cuban origin, Arango spent most of his childhood in Oviedo, where he developed his love of football. After his departure to the United States, he kept his team spirit.
In the worst moments in the history of the club, after the descent to Third Division, Arango recorded in the United States a video of support to the club wearing a t-shirt with the phrase "I did not abandon R. Oviedo in Third."
During this time, he bought Real Oviedo shares to help his team. He assures us that he misses the Principality of Asturias´ capital daily in America. Today he was able to see and show his relatives the place of his sports dreams and that of thousands of people in all five continents.
