The official store in MODOO provided the backdrop for the presentation of the funds collected from Miguel Linares' philanthropic wristbands to the Asociación Galbán, which supports the families of children with cancer.

The charitable initiative was begun last December, in which the forward from Aragón donated all proceeds of his wristbands to help the families of children with cancer. As such, with the sale of over 600 wristbands, the Real Oviedo striker presented a check worth 1,675€ to Enrique García, treasurer of the Asociación Galbán, which supports the families of children with cancer.

Following the presentation, Miguel Linares addressed the media outlets that had gathered for the event, appearing to be "happy to have added my drop to the bucket of this very important cause. I am grateful to all the fans who have participated. It has been so encouraging to see so many people with my wristband." Additionally, and regarding the sport, the Real Oviedo forward assessed that "we fell short, because of the goal average. As far as points go, I believe that we have had a good season, but we weren't quite there. We ended up very close. It's disappointing because we were so eager to reach that objective, but Saturday I left proud to see an entire stadium chanting my name, even after missing a penalty."

With respect to his future, Linares explained that "I have already spoken with the club, and now we have to wait for things, to see what happens. As long as I have enthusiasm and my physicality allows it, I want to keep playing; I'm feeling great. I have always said that I would be here as long as they want me. I've always said that playing one minute in Primera with this team would be wonderful, but at the moment I'm focusing on continuing to play football. Two things can happen: that I stay and am the happiest person in the world, or that I leave and am the proudest person in the world. If I dreamed of leaving here somehow, it was like that. The fans have been with me since the first minute that I arrived at Oviedo, and during the last minute of Saturday's game, it was like that. No matter where I am, I will always be from Real Oviedo. Now we have to wait for things to happen."

Again, Real Oviedo continues to be involved in their more social aspect, helping areas of society that need it, with this new collaboration with the Asociación Galbán, which supports the families of children with cancer. Recently, Real Oviedo auctioned off the 92nd anniversary jerseys for the association.
