The Oviedista sentiment continues crossing borders and reaching new corners of the world. A few months ago, Real Oviedo celebrated the creation of its first official supporters' clubs in the United States, and now the blue color arrives for the first time on the African continent, specifically in Tanzania.
The new group, called Tanzania-Carbayones, is based in Kawe, in the city of Dar es-Salaam, and was born out of a story of friendship that reflects the essence of Oviedismo. It all began in 2024, when one of its founders established a relationship with a person from Oviedo who was in the African country doing volunteer work. From that connection, interest in the Carbayón club grew until it solidified into regular meetings to follow the team's matches.
Over time, that group of fans took shape and became an official supporters' club, currently consisting of about twenty members who share a passion for the blue team from thousands of kilometers away.
The president of the supporters' club is Calleb Olssens Omollo, who leads this initiative that strengthens the club's international expansion. For those interested in joining, the club provides the email address olssencalleb@gmail.com as a contact point.
The usual meeting place for the supporters is La Roca Pub, in Kawe, where they gather to cheer for the team and keep the Oviedista spirit alive in East Africa.
In this way, Tanzania joins the international map of Oviedismo, demonstrating that the passion for Real Oviedo knows no boundaries and continues to grow thanks to stories born from closeness, friendship, and love for the colors.
