Rafa Mujica was officially presented this afternoon, online, from the Press Room at the NMR Carlos Tartiere. The striker, who has arrived on loan from Leeds United, was accompanied by Director of Football Francesc Arnau as he responded to the
questions from the members of the press participating in the online presentation.
Having begun by describing his first impressions upon arrival in Oviedo, the Canarian forward stated that he believes he has come to "a great club". He said that he hopes to be defined by his work, and promised to "give everything in every training session and every match" in order to help the team. Mujica said that he had no positional preference, and will accept "whatever the Coach decides". Regarding Ziganda, he said that he hoped "to learn a lot", while he also said that he did not see the fact that Real Oviedo's signings so far have all been young players as an excuse. "Age is just a number, and we have to be prepared to respond right from the start."
Following this, Director of Football Francesc Arnau answered questions from the media regarding the way the transfer market is going and specific matters regarding certain operations. The Catalan explained that "we are having to balance it according to the league salary cap, that's my job. We are going to continue to progress with the wage restructuring, but this week we have been focused on signings. In terms of outgoings, we have the added difficulty that the market in the Segunda B is going even more slowly."
