The Press Room at the NMR Carlos Tartiere today hosted the official presentation of Cedric Teguía as a new Real Oviedo player.

The winger was accompanied by Director of Football, Francesc Arnau, who welcomed him to the club, highlighting that "he is a player who comes inwith the profile of the signings we have been making.  He's a young lad, with a great record in youth team matches, and he will get an opportunity to show his level.  He's coming here with hunger.  He's a very quick player, who strikes the ball well, and works hard for the team.  He's going to give us a lot on the wing, and his qualities make him stand out from other players."

For his part, Cedric began by admitting that "I've had several options, but I know some people here and they told me that it would be the perfect place for me to grow and develop.  With Oviedo's fanbase and the club as an institution, it's a great place to be."

Asked what he can contribute to the team, the winger commented that "as well as pace and crossing, as Arnau mentioned, I can contribute hard work. I've not had contact with the Coach yet to discuss how I will be able to help, though."

Regarding his departure from Atlético de Madrid, the Cameroonian admitted that "my teammates and coaches have wished me luck.  I always thought that I'd have to make the leap, and it was the right time.  I hope to go back there a man and break into the first team."

Finally, regarding his youth, Cedric believes that "it's true that the age is there as a factor, but I have character and I know I can contribute. With time we will see how things are going.  I'm a player with character and that's not going to change.  I want to always push forward and stay the same person."
