The coach of Real Oviedo, Veljko Paunovic, appeared in the press room to assess the defeat against Football Club Barcelona: "It was a match in which we made a fantastic effort, and we were also supported by an additional player, the fans. With all that, it feels like it was one of our best games, but different from all the others, especially because of the way Barcelona plays. We executed the game plan, made them uncomfortable, both with and without the ball, and won many duels. There was great group cohesion."

The Serbian also said that "the whole group knows they played a great match against a great opponent, but the defeat still hurts, especially because of the three goals conceded. When we were doing well, the 1-1 came, and the goal hit us hard. In the first wave of changes, we didn't get it right and couldn't find a reaction, but in the second one, we did."

"Home games are fundamental, and we had to face Real Madrid and Barcelona. Now come the matches where we have to earn points and get out of the lower zone, especially at the Carlos Tartiere. The challenge ahead of us is to score points away from home," concluded Paunovic.
