Real Oviedo Vetusta were due to kick off their match away at Burgos at 12:00 today, but the heavy snowfall at El Plantío saw the referee push
kick-off time back to 16:00.
Kane Sarr; Prada, Pedro Inglés, Marotías, Ámez; Joselu, Rober; V. Teles, Lorea, Ripoll and Steven made up Emilio Cañedo's chosen starting eleven for today's match. Their opponent dominated the encounter and was very clinical in front of goal.
The home side scored all four of their goals in the first half. They emerged more strongly for the match than the Asturians and made the most of their attacking ability, while also preventing Real Oviedo Vetusta from playing their normal game.
After the interval both sides sought control of the ball, both created chances, and it was a more even affair than the opening forty-five minutes had been.
It wasn't to be today at El Plantío, but Cañedo's side will tomorrow begin to work towards next weekend's fixture. The B team will face UP Langreo next time out, with kick-off at 16:30 on Sunday.
