DUX Gaming is a standout name in Spanish eSports, competing successfully in various national and international tournaments since its foundation in May 2018. The squad is captained by Jaime Álvarez 'Gravesen', who was eLaLiga champion in 2019 and is one of the best players in the world. He is also a big Oviedista and local lad, and his role was crucial in sealing this deal. This new agreement will initially last one season, as the club joins forces with a squad featuring standout names such as Neat and Adriman. The latter is one of the best young talents on the national scene, finishing in the top 4 of the first FUT Champions Cup of the season. DUX also boasts DjMaRiiO who is one of the best sport content creators in the world, as well as footballers Thibaut Courtois and Borja Iglesias, among many others.
This deal sees Real Oviedo take a further stride in the eSports world and tie up an alliance with the main eSports club in the country, with the potential audience reach of all of the DUX Gaming members exceeding 16 million users. In addition, DUX was the first club in the world to make the step from videogames to real-life football when they bought stakes in the team now known as DUX Internacional de Madrid, who play in Group 5 of the Segunda B. The DUX player who will represent Real Oviedo in eLaLiga 2020/2021 will be Adrián “Adriman” Cañibano. His previous honours include winning the Joey Cup 2019, qualifying for the FUT Champions Cup Atlanta Fifa 20, and currently being in the Top 4 FUT Champions Cup.
Real Oviedo would like to thank Saúl Enamorado 'senamorado', the club's representative in eLaLiga 19/20, for his hard work and professionalism, and wish him all the best for his professional and personal future.
