The Press Room at El Requexón provided the backdrop for Alfredo Ortuño to speak this morning, following the second training session of the week for Sergio Egea’s men.

The striker began by evaluating the weekend’s match against Dépor, stating that “it’s never good to lose, but we have to look at the sensations our performance gave us. Riazor is a hard ground to go to and the sensations there were good, like we’d got something from the game. We showed we are a team with soul and heart. We turned the game around by being united.” In addition, regarding his debut, the attacker commented that “I felt good.  had chances and that’s a sign that the team’s doing well. The Coach has told me his ideas and I’m sticking to them. I’m only thinking about what he asks of me, which is to benefit the team.”

With respect to whether he prefers to play with a strike partner or alone up front, he reasoned that “when you play with two forwards, then each is one-on-one with the centre back. There will be time during the season to play in many different ways.”

Finally, asked about the coming first home match of the season, Ortuño concluded by saying that “I’ve found it hard every time I’ve come here, and I hope that’s how other teams find it this season. We have to make the Tartiere a fortress and not let anyone else get three points here.”
