This Wednesday, 16th November, saw the Ordinary and Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting take place. It was the first of these meetings to take place following Grupo Pachuca's arrival in the capital of Asturias.
The meeting lasted an hour and a half. There were 97 people in attendance and one further shareholder represented by proxy, constituting 70.47% of the club's current social capital. All of the points on the agenda were passed, in the presence of notary Mr. Juan Antonio Escudero.
As is the norm at the event each year, the club song sounded prior to proceedings getting underway. Club President Martín Peláez then paid tribute to Jorge Menéndez Vallina for his years at the head of the club.
Events then quickly moved on to the explanation of and voting on the points included in the agenda.
The Ordinary Meeting saw the first and second points, the 2021/22 annual accounts and the application of the result, passed with two abstentions. Meanwhile, the third point, budgets for the 2022/23 season, was passed unanimously, and the fourth point, the social management for 2021/22, received one vote against.
The points on the agenda of the Extraordinary Meeting and the modification of the Board of Directors were unanimously passed. The second point, the annual salary of the directors, received three votes against and seven abstentions. The naming of the Auditor of Accounts was also passed.
Finally, several of the shareholders in attendance took the chance to intervene with questions and comments.
The Shareholders Meeting also served to name the club's three new directors. They are members of Grupo Pachuca who will work pro bono for the future of Real Oviedo. Pedro Cedillo, Gerardo Cabrera and Jose Ramón Fernández are the new members of Real Oviedo's Board of Directors.
