Omar Ramos appeared in the Press Room this morning, after the team trained behind closed doors at El Requexón.

Following victory in Soria, the team is focused on this Saturday’s league date with Tenerife at the Carlos Tartiere. For Omar, who came through the youth ranks at Tenerife, “it’s an important match. It’s special for me, but it’s just another game for the team and that’s how we’ll approach it. We are hungry to get the three points and push up the table. If we win then I think it’ll be good for the team to have won two consecutive matches and to have moved closer to the playoffs.”

Personally, Omar feels he is “improving little by little, but I can tell that I’ve been out for a long time. I’ve been a professional for many years now and I know how this works. You are nervous when you come back as a starter, because it’s been a long time, but I’m used to it.”

With respect to Tenerife and their coach, Omar highlighted that, “it’s going to be a difficult match for them and for us. Whoever does more right will take the three points, and I hope it’s us. They play with a lot of intensity.”

Asked whether the result will determine the immediate future, Omar believes that there are still a lot of games to go, and that “if you lose, you still have a lot of chances to be up there. However, it’s true that two wins in a row would be good for us and for our confidence. If we win we’ll be up there. The teams at the top aren’t slipping up. It’s a very competitive league and it’s not easy,” he concluded.
