Nahuel Leiva appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón today, as the first team returned to training.
The winger began the press conference by analysing his season in Oviedo, saying that "it's been an important year for me and that's why I came here. nThe Coach put me in little by little but made me a regular starter. It was my turn to be on the bench the other day, but I tried to do as well as possible when I came on."
Asked about being a substitute for the game at the RCDE Stadium, Nahuel stated that "all 25 of us players are prepared to start. We have to be engaged so that we can help the team as much as possible."
With respect to the team's performance so far this season, the winger said that "I'm happy but we can still do more. We are in good form, going into the final sprint, and we have to try to get good results so that we can think about bigger things."
Regarding Arturo Elías' message on Twitter to congratulate him for his great goal against Espanyol, the Argentinian highlighted that "we have to be grateful that the boss is 100% behind the team. He's just as involved as we are and let's hope we can get more goals like that one."
Asked about the point gained against the Catalan side, Nahuel commented that "we were happy. We went for the win against a team which is a candidate for promotion to Primera. We go out to compete against every other team, it doesn't matter whether they are at the top or the bottom of the table. It will be similar against Leganés to how it was against Espanyol. If we go out there at 100% then we will make it difficult for any opponent."
Finally, discussing the belief Ziganda has shown in him and his feelings on an individual level, the Argentinian highlighted that "the Gaffer is giving me belief, morale and energy. I owe it all to him. I mustn't relax and we hope it's a good end to the season for all of us. I am very happy and grateful to the club. It's been a long time since I've felt this good at a club. I want to focus on football, finish as well as possible, and help the team."
